    		Fryingpan Kilns
    Built in the 1880s, the Fryingpan Kilns of Basalt were established to help process charcoal. In total seven structures were built in Basalt and other nearby areas. The Fryingpan Kilns remain the best preserved and are a local historic landmark. Visitors can see the kilns, which stand in Arbaney Park.
