Established in 1915, this park showcases the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains, boasting peaks that rise above 14,000 ft (4,267 m). The park is situated in northern Colorado, northwest of Denver. Visitors have the chance to see a wide diversity of wildlife, including elk, mule deer, moose, bighorn sheep, black bears, eagles, hawks and more. Spectacular displays of wildflowers are visible in the summer months of June and July.
