Groomed cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails, rental facilities, ski school and a restaurant are just a few of the services found at Steamboat Ski Touring Center. Beginners to advanced skiers can enjoy the trails at the center which range from 0.6 mi (1 km) to 2.8 mi (4.5 km).

Ashcroft and Castle Creek Valley
Leading through the historic ghost town of Ashcroft are numerous trails for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Located in the White River National Forest, the area was one of the first designated cross-country skiing areas in the United States. Approximately 21 mi (35 km) of trails are waiting to be explored throughout the year.

Located at the Raven Golf Course from December through March, the Silverthorne Nordic Center offers trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The trails are open daily from dawn until dusk and visitors are asked to use only the areas open to them.
