Much can be learned and done at the Leadville National Fish Hatchery. Established in 1889 as it is the second oldest government run facility of its kind still in use today. Spend a day learning the ins and outs of fish production and how it has changed since the late 1800s. View and feed the fish, take a hike on the nature trails, try catching a fish in the two ponds, go cross-country skiing or attempt ice fishing. Address: 2844 Highway 300 Leadville CO USA 80461
